Did you have to scale down your dream or vision for the "big day"?
Did you start out with a big vision and have to scale down or did you start simple and get everything you want? I have recently began planning and I have a certain vision for my wedding... So, how did your wedding go? What did you cut back or eliminate? Was it all you'd hoped for?
We had a big vision and scaled down the guest list rather than scale down all the extras. We went from 200 people to around 100. We decided NOT to invite any children, but we did include "and guest" with for those of our friends who are still single. It was hard, but in the end we are happy with our choice.
I also did some DIY stuff myself to save on costs. I also found a ton of fresh ideas and made purchases from Etsy.com. In the end, we are getting our exact dream wedding, and everything ended up being Custom Made for us so it is truly unique.
