How can I cut out the same complex shape over and over again in Photoshop?
I'm trying to make a whole bunch of thumbnails in any kind of interesting shape; hearts, stars, etc. I just don't want them to be a bunch of squares or circles. Does anyone know how I can do this? Is there some setting or tool that I can set to a shape and then use it to cut out the images of many pictures in a row? Thanks!
1. Make the shape you desire using pen tool.
2. While pen tool is selected, right click on the shape > select the option called "Define custom shape"
3. Now if you go and click on "Custom shape tool" or click "U" (short cut), you will find your newly created shape in the list, which you can use over and over
4. There are already pre-defined shapes in this tool, like star, ring, round, leaf...and more
Make sure to save .psd file of your shape which you made in step 1, in case your system crash and you have to re-install photoshop...
