Why are black dogs considered to bring good luck by Hindus?
I have a friend who is hindu and he says in hinduism black dog is believed to bring good luck, peace and prosperity and thats why he has always kept black dog as pet.
However, there is no scientific evidence to back that. Yet I have read some books too, that many hindus consider black dogs to bring good luck.
Yet there is also black dog syndrome, which means black dog is rejected by many. From where do such beliefs originate and why?
