Can you sell first class stamps for a profit?
I was always under the impression that it was illegal to sell regular first class stamps for a profit, is this true? I am not talking about collector's stamps, just normal every day stamps.
To further clarify, for example, a convenient store is selling stamps for $0.45 instead of $0.41. While its obviously cheaper to get them at the post office, its not as easy to get to as the store downstairs. Again, I was always under the impression that this was illegal since You Are trying to make a profit on government property!
Why would anyone buy stamps at a higher price than they could pay at their local post office? There is one in every town and neighborhood.
